st petersburg has been like a dream for me.
the flight to london wasn't that unbearable as i thought, and the food wasn't as unbearable as i thought. it felt almost like an extended bus ride from tampines to kent ridge, with way more comfortable seats and free flow beverage and beautiful clouds to watch outside the window haha.
my first experience with natural aircon was REFRESHING. too bad my SD card broke down, or else i'll show you how i soaked up that few seconds of london air before i got shoved into heathrow again. anyways. INTERNET IS FREKKING EXPENSIVE IN HEATHROW CAN! 1 pound for 10 minutes. omg. daylight robbery.
and then we got whisked off to st petersburg. woot. the ride from pulkovo international airport was spent ooh-ing and wow-ing before we got bored and all fell asleep. the hotel facade was undergoing renovation, and it looked slightly better than a building that went through WWII, or so i imagine. the room was small but cosy, and we had the view of the.... *drumroll* carpark. -_-
kopped from irene.the rest of the days passed by in a whirlwind. whether it was daylight or not, all the sightseeing, walking and occasional practice ensured that i dozed off the moment i hit the sheets, daylight or not. frankly speaking, white nights were not exactly spectacular; it's just broad daylight in the middle of the night that's all. *shrugs*
absorbing st petersburg under our skin.

before we went in and did our thing.
the lovely sopranos :)
the lovely glinka capella.
and then we performed and we won. we screamed, we laughed, we cried, we hugged, we sang. : )
on another note,
something that some of us found in a local drug store.
i should have just bought some back as souveniers for some of you guys ;)
